Matthew Toye You can't talk about Greek black metal and not mention Varathron. Pure musicianship and little embellishment make 'Walpurgisnacht' a masterpiece in the classic Hellenic style. Favorite track: Under the Sight of Horus.

Not RomanPort Classic black metal. This album has a wonderful atmosphere that really draws you in. If you're a fan of black metal, it doesn't get much better than this one. Favorite track: Cassiopeia's Ode.

Introvertoid A classic of Hellenic black metal. Unlikely to win new converts in this day and age, at least with Rotting Christ dominating the HBM scene, but quite listenable. Every black metal fan should have at least a passing acquaintance with this. Favorite track: Under the Sight of Horus.
